GOD is Creator and Ruler of everyone and everything. There is one God, eternal, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Psalm 18:46; 1 Timothy 1:17)
JESUS is the Son of God. Born by virgin birth and living a sinless life, He offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people through His death on a cross. He arose from the grave, demonstrating His power over sin and death, and ascended to Heaven. He reigns in Heaven now and will return as King of kings and Lord of lords. (John 3:16-18)
HOLY SPIRIT is co-equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is at work in the believer's life. He lives within every baptized believer, and is given as a gift at baptism, providing power for godly living.
(Galatians 5:22-23; Romans 5:5)
ETERNITY is what lies ahead after we die. We will either exist eternally separated from God or in union with Him. To be eternally separated from God is to dwell in Hell. To be eternally in union with God is to dwell in Heaven.
(Revelation 20:11-15)
THE BIBLE is the infallible, inspired Word of God written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the authoritative guide for our lives. (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
SALVATION is a gift from God. Only by believing in Jesus as our Savior can we receive forgiveness. We are saved as we place our faith in Him through repentance of our sins, confession of our faith in Jesus, and baptism for the forgiveness of sins. (Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-11)
The Rocky Fork Story
Rocky Fork Fellowship was born in January 2007 as a result of a small group of Christians desiring to reach the un-churched in Hallsville, MO. It has grown from a handful of people meeting in the Hallsville Community Center to several hundred meeting in the Hallsville Intermediate School. God is constantly bringing new faces to the Rocky Fork family as we continue to grow and make an impact on Hallsville and the surrounding communities.
Rocky Fork Fellowship is an Independent Christian Church and part of the Restoration Movement. For more information about Rocky Fork's background, history, and beliefs we strongly recommend you visit us on a Sunday morning or join us for a What We Believe Class held in the Rocky Fork Fellowship office.
